So, in my absence, I have completed my second survey. Now I'm totally done with sophomore year, how weird!!

I'm not exactly proud of everything I've done, to be honest, so don't expect to see everything up on this blog. :p But, I did learn a lot! Next year's going to be crazyyyy.

Happy summer vacation, guys! I will make sure to post all of the work I find good on this blog during the summer, so I can start fresh for junior year. :D Look forward to more posts (this time I'm being serious)!

Well, here's something that I did for my illustration methods and media class last semester, the assignment was "a presence in a room," and we had to combine two things that don't belong together. So, yeah.

It's of his original character from a comic. The character likes music, and I was rather out of inspiration, so this is what happened, and yeah. :|

This is a (belated) birthday gift for a friend, Laura. Most recent thing I've done as of now, actually. It's of her and Marceline the Vampire Queen from Adventure Time, which is TOTALLY THE MOST ALGEBRAIC SHOW EVER (as dear Finn would say)!! They're singing a song Marceline wrote about how her dad ate her fries and he didn't even ask. >:( It's actually quite depressing!

This was done with inks and on watercolor paper. :D

My first illustration assignment! Okay, well, it's a redo of the first assignment because the first version failed miserably since I used marker and the color was dull. But this version was done with inks. :)
So the prompt was an article about the bed bug infestation of AMC theaters in New York City during the summer of 2010. It was pretty gross to hear about, the first sighted area was at the theater that I like to frequent. :( But no bed bugs here (thank goodness)!

So yes, this was the first time I used inks, it was a little strange and I didn't handle it very well on this piece, but I like it despite that. :)

LEMONADE, EARLY DECEMBER.

IT'S LATE, but I can't sleep, so here is an update. :D

My last (sixth) illustration assignment, the prompt was an article about two girls that sold lemonade around their house, and because they didn't have a permit for selling food, they were put in jail with their mother for about 24 hours before public outcry forced the cops to release at least the children.
I'm not sure how much of the story is true, as it was from my professor's memory, haha.

Second time doing an illustration in Illustrator, it was a lot easier than the first time, let me tell you.

Edward Elric, from Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. I decided to tackle the cartoon, since I didn't after the comic ended. So! I hope it's as good as it looks. :D

I am done! It took me about 3 hours to set this up, wow. Many bruises and sore fingers later, it looked like this!
Detail pictures of the set up will come later, as well as photographs and explanations of each piece, even the ones I'm not too fond of (black and white painting at the top, I'm talking about you).
I'm glad that it went well! :)

WORST FEAR, EARLY TO MID OCTOBER.

I'M NOT DEAD GUYS. If you want to see my more frequent updates, a.k.a. almost never, check out my tumblr! Don't expect the most high quality things on that one, it's more of a anything-goes art spam location, haha.

I planned to post this later, during winter break, but I have time to do it at this moment, when I should finish my typography homework! All of my other pieces for illustration class are analog, I have no photos to put up, and will not have time to photograph until the end of survey, which, essentially, is a giant art show of what work the department I'm in has accomplished this semester.

So, this piece is my third illustration assignment, the prompt was my worst fear, or my worst vice. I chose my worst fear, it's kind of silly! I have a lot of fears, but I decided to pick one that was easy to visualize, which is the fear of being in the spotlight and in light of that (haha pun), being judged. It's silly and irrational, but I can't help it. :p
This was the first time I touched Illustrator, haha, and I finished it in one sitting, the day it was assigned.

I'm actually not dead! School has started, which leaves me swamped with projects. It's interesting though, I'm doing a lot of cool assignments, some are things I have never attempted before, either. When I produce some good work for midterms, I will be posting the treasures in bulk, and for sure some good work will be posted during winter break from finals.
This is a drawing of my friend's avatar, from GaiaOnline. I finished it on August 25, but I haven't found the time to upload it. So, instead of going to sleep, I decided to do this. :D
I will post a couple of doodles in the near future, so please look out for that. :)

it has officially ended as of today, june 11. :(
i don't think i can express how much this series means to be, and what it's done for me in the past 7 or so years, so i'll save you, audience, of such sob stories. :p
